The
estimate generated from plans may fluctuate after
site measurements. |
3. |
All
base and wall cabinets must be installed and secured
to the wall before ANY appointments. We
do not level or adjust cabinets. Adjustments
are the responsibility of the homeowner. European
Company will note cabinet problems to customer at
field measure and/or installation of countertop. |
4. |
Appliance
garages and cabinets that sit on top of counter
must be installed after countertop is installed.
The customer is responsible for moving any appliances
prior to counter top installation. |
5. |
Sinks,
cooktop, stove, hood, microwave, faucets (If going
through counter) must be on site at time of template.
(Hood or microwave must be in place if ordering
full splash) Save templates of new sinks for installer
to take. The countertop installers will set the
kitchen sink. (They will not install or connect
faucets or bathroom sinks) |

Do
not schedule other trades on same day as our appointments.
Plumbing disconnect must be scheduled the day before
we do demolition. Allow 2 days for the install of
countertop
European does not do plumbing or electrical work.
Therefore the homeowner is to do the work or hire
a licensed plumber and/or electrician. |
7. |
No
wall work such as finish drywall, painting or wallpaper
should be done until after countertop is installed. |
8. |
If
another material is planned for the splash, We need
to know the thickness of the material and the method
of installation |
9. |
Customer
is aware and understands that natural stone varies
slightly in color and shade
from production to production. Color samples may
vary slightly form current production on hand. The
random pattern of color variation in each slab is
an inherent property of natural stone. Due to the
promotion there will be NO SLAB APPROVALS. |
10. |
Remodeling
causes dust. We will contain dust as well as our
equipment will allow.
To keep dishes clean, remove from cabinets. At all
appointments clear out under sink and clear off
countertops. A work area must be available for workers. |
11. |
Customer
must be present for field measure (template) appointment.
Any questions must be asked at this time and no
changes can be made after the field measure (template).
After the template, any discrepancies between contract
and actual measurement will be reviewed. Any changes
at any appointment may affect the countertop installation
date. |
12. |
Seam
location is determined by the field measurer (templater).
Placement is governed by the slab size, access,
strength of material to insure safe delivery, installation,
and serviceability of finished product to the end
user. Seam location can't be changed by the homeowner. |
13. |
Customer
must be present at install. Installers are required
to present approval survey to customer and obtain
signature |
14. |
No
work will be done on Sundays or Holidays. Installer
will contact customer within 2 business days to
discuss readiness for appointment dates. Installer
must have received Purchase order and plans with
dimensions in order to set dates. All appointments
will be scheduled between normal business hours. |
15. |
Overhang
support will be provided by the customer. (Corbels
etc.) |
16. |
If
customer finds he will not be ready at appointed
time, he must call 24 hours ahead and postpone the
date. Otherwise there will be a trip charge of $200.00
incurred. There will be an additional charge incurred
if the installation of the countertop is on the
2nd. Floor and above. This includes hard access
sites (apartments, high rise buildings, etc.). |
17. |
The
contract covers providing a finished product (kitchen,
bath top, etc.). It does not include any remnants
or cutout pieces to be saved or provided to customer. |
18. |
The
customer is aware that countertop installers are
not responsible for any plumbing work, such as disconnecting
or re-connecting the drains, faucets, and other
items related to the countertop installation. It
must be done before demolition and subtop. |

If
the customer decides to do their own demolition
of their existing countertop it must be done before
subtops can be installed, the installers will not
haul any of the debris. Surface for subtops must
be clean and all cabinet repairs must be made prior
to subtop installation. Adequate support must be
installed at all open areas (dishwasher, open corners,
etc.). |

Any
discrepancies on pricing, dates, and installation
issues must be directed to the store where the countertops
were purchased. |
